In the second hall scenes related to funerary rituals appear on the short left side The god of the underworld Osiris is depicted On the left wall of the inner corridor a funeral procession with the sarcophagus and mummy of Amenemhab accompanied by priests and offerings is depicted On the other side on the short side the tomb complex consists of a beautifully decorated chapel carved into the rock Thebes TT85 Amenemhab is depicted on a boat and hunting in the marshes The opposite wall of the corridor shows Amenemhab and his wife in front of a garden and people bringing offerings and an undecorated underground burial chamber which was found during looting

The burial chapel consists of two wide halls The Thebes TT85 tomb is located in Sheikh Abd al-Qurna and is part of the Thebes necropolis on the west bank of the Nile opposite Luxor This tomb was the burial site of Amenemhab who also served as the military overseer of the rulers of two lands The rulers of two lands were Egyptian kings military leaders and chief archers The tomb was carved into the limestone and shale cliff face at right angles and was one of the private tombs known as house-shaped tombs of prominent local figures

Most date back to the Ramessesside period oriented from northeast to southwest with a maximum length of approximately 9.3 meters The layout is typical of Thebes necropolises consisting of a short entrance leading to a wide hall an axial corridor and a long hall or shrine The hillside on the west bank of the Nile near Luxor harbors official tombs from the Archaic to the Late Kingdom including the limestone Naos of Amenemheb The inscription contains two prayers to Osiris and Horus in the name of Amenemheb presumably an alternate name for Amenemheb

The family group of Amenemhab, "the royal minister," "the keeper of Amenhotep I's mansion in western Thebes," and "the keeper of Amun's granaries." On the left is his mother, Kanuro, and on the right is his wife, Tanefer.
It is currently damaged while the other side is almost entirely lost The remaining portion is severely cracked in some places and the inscription at the base has barely any trace of paint The inscription runs around the base of the Naos on three sides decorated on three sides with bas-reliefs and carved inscriptions Three scattered columns dominate the altar one in the center and one on each edge The central inscription bears

Amenemheb's name and the column to the left possibly the name of his mother includes the Eye of Vedjat and the flag of Osiris However half of the lintel is missing To the left of the naos the doorframes on both sides bear the figure of Amenemheb and inscribe his name and title On the lintel is a depiction of the boat of Ra worshipped by baboons A mysterious hillside on the west bank of the Nile near Luxor hides the tombs of officials from the Archaic to the Late Middle Kingdom
